Yesterday, a little before 4pm, I finished my novel! I started it in May, though the exact date escapes me (the Word document was created in January, so that wouldn't be of any help).
What an incredible feeling! Now I'll sit on it and work on something else, ready to look at it with fresh eyes in the future.

Congrats, Peter! That IS such an incredible feeling. I hope you go out and celebrate!
I just finished revising my novel and am waiting for my grades and tutor's feedback (I did an MA in writing at Bath Spa in England). It's such a long process. Wish I had done a bit more celebrating last spring when I finished my first draft. =)
Way to go, Peter! That's quite an accomplishment.
Way to go, Peter. I'm a friend of your mom--also a writer. Began in May? That's dedication. Will look for you in the bookstore soon.
Congratulations and Best Wishes on your journey!
Congratulations! I can still remember the feeling of sheer relief I got when I finished my first manuscript. At least you're ahead of the game with a writer for a mother: you know that isn't the last you'll see of that ms.
I was blissfully unaware.
